Greetings,
Got the Gecko 6 neck burnished finally. I started at 320 grit ended with 12000 grit. Really made it super smooth. I have never done this before so it was a really neat challenge for me. I will do this from now on.
Thanks

Greetings,
Here are some other pics of the neck. Its about 95% completed now.I am really starting to like how this is coming out. Never knew burnishing could be so much fun to do. I sat in the back yard and watched our dogs play while I did this. Made for a fun afternoon.
Thanks.

Much easier to see what's happening now, thanks.  You might perhaps link to your images on photobucket or flickr, and show them inline instead of being limited by the forum's restrictions on attachments.

Actually just finished burnishing my own, new gecko 6 neck a week or two ago -- the shine is amazing! Totally worth it.  That's an absolutely beautiful piece though, and the gold works so well with it.
