@Vallhagen, looking at your decal it looks like by applying it to bare wood the topcoat has not changed the look of the wood underneath the decal and between the letters and design.

By putting the finish coats on first, then the decal and then more finish you have a better chance of getting decal where transparent appearing to dissapear.

Yeah, I'm REALLY looking forward to this build.  The waiting time is a killer.  I even asked Warmoth, "I'll pay extra to have it done quicker, really it's no problem" and they're like, "Nope, sorry."  All good things take time.  I have another body and neck that shipped today, super excited about them too.
