PS7641 - do you mean the figuring, or something weird in the specs? I didn't see anything unusual in the body's configuration, but since you linked to the details page.. It's not like it's a left hand 7/8 strat body with a TOM/STOP bridge and an output jack on the lower horn or anything like that.

I think Slackjaw's suggesting the chevron figuring south of the bridge pup rout looks a little like yer conventional representation of a goat-headed Satan/Baphomet.

The story I found this picture in, by the way, tells us that Beyonce's alter ego, Sasha Fierce, is actually her initiation-name for her conversion to Satan-worship.  Which would be awesome if it weren't, like, mindblowingly stupid.

hmmm ... the first of the new-carve vips:

What is new with the design of the VIP? A black back of the body doesn't help show the changes you might have made.  :dontknow:

My understanding is the top is carved a bit differently. You can't really tell from this example, but I think the peaks on the top are a bit softer than they used to be.

oh, and this may not be new, but  I just noticed that you can now see sold bodies in the showcase:

edit: wow, it goes back, here's a body I bought in 2009:

Ian just reminded me(Involuntarily :laughing7:) that I need one of these:

This one in particular belongs to a bandmate/friend/guy.

Such interesting guitars, and everyone I know who's owned one.. 3(?) people, has claimed that it is by far the best they've ever played.

Too bad the horn broke off and someone had to lash it back on... :) Anyway:

One for the "Poplar and Proud" series. I really like the grain on this one.

Haha, nah. That's a leather carrying handle. Perhaps it's cheesy, but I carry my guitars like that as often as I carry them in a case.

Glorp! Thank goodness I just PAID the auto insurance & dentist, and I can't get 'em back outta the little slot. Who needs teeth?
n'I never run over people I don't know.... :guitaristgif:

Interesting...  especially the lack of binding.
Yup. I'd be willing to pay Warmoth to not put binding on the body. I wanted them to do a Starcaster body shape for years and then when they finally put one out there they go and force you to take binding. I tried contacting them and explaining that if they put binding on my body they'd only be wasting their own time and materials as I'd be painting over it anyway, but they weren't having any of it, insisted it needs binding to cover the stupid 'double laminate' top (which, again, I'd be painting over in a solid colour regardless...). They also insisted it couldn't be done without the contoured heel, nor could it have a Tele neck pocket. Ended up finding a local guy who knocked it out all custom for me instead. Talked yourself out of a sale, Warmoth.
