Hi there,
Here's an odd annoyance I rediscovered yesterday with my '82 G&L F-100 II.
Doing a volume swell with the volume knob ... when it hits the top (wide open) and stops moving, I can hear it through the output.
It kinda goes "clank". Even if I'm really careful and go slow, every time it hits the top it makes that noise.
I'm wondering if this is the just nature of having the pot mounted on the metal plate
...or...
is it just a crappy old (original from 1982) pot?
If someone can confirm that this is *not* always the case when mounting a pot on a metal plate then I can just replace the pot,
however if it *is* how it is --- with metal plates - - - then I'd like to hear about it.
