Full Zebra + full body dye?

Ok, firstly: I know that a body made out of zebrawood is possible, so that's not the question :laughing7:
Thing is, as you may understand from the title: Is it possible to make a call/send a mail, to order a custom full-body-dye? I haven't seen a full-body-dye yet, and it would be awesome if it would be manageable :headbang1:
I'm considering a turquoise dye, kind of like this: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=12421.90
Inputs, anybody? :hello2:

They might do it, but I think dying end-grain would be iffy. Maybe a laminate top and back, with Zebrawood and binding?

Can I get an explanation on what would be iffy? I'd prefer the body to be only Zebrawood, that means the sides too.
FYI: The body i'm considering is a carved top LP. Also, would cream (ivoroid?) binding, or natural masked binding match the colors best?

that's not dye... just sayin'
I figured, but i'd prefer a dye, and as it is available through the custom-builder on zebravood, I'd rather want a dye to really show the wood, than a transparent finish.

Just for the record: what neck/FB wood would match? Me being weird :cool01:: I'd like the neck and FB-woods to be the same, as I want as few differing colors as possible :tard:

Zebra wood is awfully heavy, that's why a laminate might be recommended. And end grain tends to dye very dark, so you generally only dye faces. But, if those things are ok, then if I were to do a zebrawood body and wanted a matching neck/'board, I'd do ebony. Pricey, but unique. It would add even more to the weight, though. You could conceivably end up with a 10-11 pound fiddle.

That sounds so cool :toothy10: Also, I think it'll be cool with different shades of the same color on the guitar :cool01:
Guess I'll send a mail after the summer (or when I recieve some more money)
I have no problems with heavy guitars, actually, I prefer them, as it actually feels like I have something I play on. Light guitars feel so...nonexistent :laughing7:

Even a 12 pound guitar doesn't feel like much when you put it on. I mean, it's only 12 pounds, right? It's an hour or two later that you start to wonder who swapped your guitar out for this 450 pound monster <grin>

Geez! I get tired just with my chambered swamp ash Strat, which I think turned out to be around 7 1/2 lbs.

sounds like a winner.  i've never weighed my strat, but it's heavier than any other i've played (MIM Strat body)
