Full koa body with maple neck

What are your thoughts on that combination (full koa + maple neck)? I'm kind of intrigued about this combo after watching some of new videos posted on youtube featuring Guthrie Govan (on the European tour with The Aristocrats) and his new Charvel (with that wood config). It sounds dang good!

Also I've read a lot advices to not go with Mahogany body and Maple neck especially on Suhr forum. They say that this combination doesn't resonate well. And this is the same thing that Guthrie Govan says in interview below. He always loved mahogany but it doesn't work with maple neck. On the other hand in his opinion Koa with maple neck works!

I know that good tone is very subjective thing, even Suhr opinion it's still his opinion. For some reason I would like to try Mahogany body, Maple neck and now I'm bit confused. Maybe Koa plus Maple neck is better? I know that I'm the one that will decide it whether something is working for me or not, but I just want to order config that is more likely going to work.

Working on mine! (In a few years after it's finished acclimating, and my schedule sucks less, and I finish a thousand other projects, and and and... ok well maybe someday)

Is this a modified Warmoth neck or a Warmoth custom headstock job?

I'm not all that familiar with the story and the legality of it, but it's trademarked so that no one else can use it.

The neck on that is a Warmoth, they used to offer the EBMM 4+2 style. Which now they do not make anymore, not sure if they'd even do one on the down low or not... :dontknow:
