Standard Thin profile, 1-11/16" nut, 6150 frets, compound radius, white corian nut, dot inlays, vintage tuners installed (I need to keep these.)
Yup, it's been a long, tough decision, but I'm finally gonna say it. I want to sell this neck only because it isn't "perfect" for my preferences. I'm pretty sure I need a fatback, 1-5/8" nut, 24.75" scale. I got it on impulse from Showcase. I have played it very much at all simply because I still haven't gotten electronics. So the condition is very almost new!
I think $150 or best offer.

What can I say? It was a "Screamin' deal!" and he hadn't been so foolish as to drill the headstock for a string tree. I just hope I can cover up the mounting holes for those beer can tuners with the bodies of some good ones. But, even if I can't, it's a dark wood. They won't be obvious.

Bargain  :icon_thumright:  pity no SS frets thou, but at that price  :headbang1:

Yeah, well, up until a couple years ago, I'd gone for 40-some years without SS frets, a few more shouldn't hurt me. They're 6150s so I'll be able to keep them usable for quite some time considering it's not going to be a primary guitar that'll see hours of daily use.

Cagey, how 'bout the beer can style lockers?
All the joy of modern convenience but all the look of the crap that didn't work well!

I'm not impressed. I shouldn't need tools to string and/or tune up a guitar, and why would I want a cheap stamped gear cover when I can have a permanently lubricated cast/sealed housing? Plus, the mounting is questionable, and anybody who knows better looks at your guitar and wonders if you know anything about guitars. It's just a bad design, which is why the Sperzels and Schallers of this world came up with the designs they did, and the usual suspects copied them.

The neck came today. It is as he advertised, and in excellent condition. No discernible wear at all, other than the tuner mounting holes. I'll be able to cover all but one of those up with a set of Sperzels, so no problem there. I might even drive a screw into the leftover hole just to make people wonder wtf <grin>

Nice grain on the thing, and well machined by Warmoth so it's not the alligator hide some pictures of that wood would lead you to believe. I'm pleased.

Tell 'em it's a plug to keep the tone worms from leakin' out.

Good idea. Although, some people might say "Ewww! There are worms in there?" Then what? I suppose I could just wave it off. "Don't worry it, Ms. Dingbat. I have the situation firmly under control." But, then I look sorta creepy. "He's the worm whisperer!"

I think I'll call it an "RFID retainer". Those who know what RFID tags are will nod sagely, and those who don't will be sufficiently mystified to shut up, lest they expose their ignorance in front of a guitar god.

Have to play it by ear, I guess <grin>

From Cagey's vocabulary, no-nonsense opinions, and humorous quips, I would be very suspicious that Cagey might be Hunter S. Thompson if he was still with us.

Yeah ..... and don't forget to break it off  :icon_jokercolor:  :laughing7:

I don't think so, Tim.

Besides, if I broke a screw off in the headstock, I'd have to slit my wrists. That would make my hands too slippery to hold my beer, and that's NFG.
