For Sale: Warmoth Hardtail Strat Body. Alder, Three tone Sunburst.
Sold the neck for this guitar a while back, and never got around to buying another one. I just don't have the time I used to (got a 4 month old baby...) So I'm parting out some guitar projects.
Beautiful chunk of alder here. Great grain, and a superb burst job by Warmoth. Neck pocket is nice and tight too. I've fully shielded the cavities with foil tape, which definitely cuts down on the hum. Finish is in excellent condition - no major playing wear, no big dings. I'd give it a solid 9.5/10.
The weight is 4 Pounds 10 ounces. Now, before you go thinking "heavy", remember that this is a hardtail. Assembled, this yeilds a Strat that is right at 7 Pounds 6 ounces. And the extra wood in the back gives it a solid, woody chunk to the tone - a little less of that traditional strat trem steely-ness. (I actually prefer it!)
New, this body custom ordered costs around $375.
I'm looking to get $275 Shipped.
