For sale is my custom strat neck from Hefner.
- 5A Birdseye Maple neck
- Brazilian Rosewood fretboard (not 100% sure, it seems to me that the wood grain is lighter than normal BR. I asked the previous owner but he didn't reply. However it plays great, which I never question the wood type again.)
- 25.5" scale length
- heel trustrod adjustment
- 1.650" nut width
- bone nut
- 9.5 radius
- 21 frets
- 6100 stainless steel frets
- SRV neck contour (.840 @ 1st; .960 @ 12th)
- Clear gloss nitrocellulose finish
- neck plate is not included.
The neck has the previous owner's name on the back (which doesn't show when mounted to the body). Stainless steel frets for butter-like bending. Only some unnoticeable scratches.
It sounds acoustically beautiful, especially the "funky" sound when I slap the string. The only reason I let it go is the jumbo fret size that causes fret buzz when I strum the strings VERY hard. I'm very fastidious about unexpected noise. However, it may also be the body's low bridge that unables me to raise the action any higher.
Anyway, I'm asking $390 PP shipped. No trade
