FRETS

I can't deside what frets to put on a J bass project with a birds maple neck. From nickel, SS, to gold, is there any difference in sound? Anything else to think about?

Absolutely no discernible difference in sound to my ears, and my friends call me a tone Nazi if they makes any difference.

BTW, I don't think ANYONE can go wrong with the Stainless Steel 6105's.

Stainless steel should last longer before needing any work; no tonal differentiation

Unless you're overly sensitive to fret size, they don't really feel any different than 6105 wire...

I was worried about fret size so I looked at my Warwick and desided to copy that. Warwicks use jumbo size and I love my thumb NT so i picked the standard jumbo 6150 size.
