Fret trouble

I am having an issue with frets raising up on an acoustic guitar.  Over a year ago the guitar was subject to extreme cold for too long from my girlfriend, and immediately after, a few frets raised up, especially the sixth fret.  Certain fingerings would make the plunk sound, but I managed to use a little gorrila wood glue and a clamp and fixed it.  The problem is back again, and I used plain gorrila glue, which should of held stronger, but didn't.  I also tried to bang the fret down with a non-marring hammer, but it just doesn't pin down.  Today I tried to restring it, and turned my back on my cat (for 3 sec), which kinked my high E string in four places, and now I'm pissed.  For fear that I may bash or throw my guitar across the room I thought I would walk away from it and ask you, my fellow guitarist if you have had this problem, and if you got away without having to have the guitar refretted.  Any advise would be most welcome on this crappy day.

I am assuming that the guitar has stabilized now right? Good heavy doses of humidity can do wonders for acoustics. When I moved from Dallas back to Colorado my guitars hated me and I hated them. I had always seen those humidifier gizmos and just never needed them. But here my guitars are almost as tempermental as my wife. As long as the slots on the fretboard are okay you should be fine. The tangs on the frets probably just need to be bent back out. They might be too flimsy now and the fret might need to be replaced. You don't have to do them all. It's not as hard as it seems.

Thanks man,  It has been real dry here in MI, but the fret started coming out again after I rubbed some fret oil on the board.  There are other frets doing it, but the sixth fret is standing too proud.  I'm not sure what glue would be the best, but I do need to pop the fret out a little to correct this.  It also wouldn't hurt if I had the right fret clamping tool.  Thank God spring is on it's way. :tard:  I forgave the cat BTW, but it was so upsetting that I bought two sets of good Daddario EXP strings, and the first high E broke because I didn't double wind it, then the second set she unwound and kinked the same damn string.  The previous set I had lasted about 6 months with many hours of use.  Where is the Incredible Hulk emoticon?

I just used super glue and clamped the fret down with my brass/screw capo.  The small difference of height on either side was leveled, and I whored out the high E out of a Power Slinky pack...since it is a much cheaper set of strings.  Everything is A ok now.
