forbidden pickup / bridge combination

Hi,
Customer since 2005 but new to this board.

I'd like to order a Telecaster body routed for P90 pickups drilled for (cutoff) Tele bridge plate.

Unfortunately if I specify P90s, a Tele bridge route is missing from the election list.

Do I need to call someone at Warmoth? Is it even something I can get? Is this combination a special order that will cost more?

Thanks for any advice.

Ron

I tried it and got the same results. I can't see or think of a reason for it; it may be (and probably is) an anomaly of the Builder. If it were me and I had to order today, I'd order without a bridge drill/route and resolve it Monday. Not that that'll change anything; nothing's gonna happen over the weekend anyway. So, best to wait until Monday and contact Warmoth directly to find out if there's a good reason that configuration isn't possible.

I have Teles with hardtails, standard Tele bridge plates and two different kinds of vibrato, most of them with humbuckers at the bridge, and I can't imagine why you wouldn't be able to do what you want to do.

Maybe it's not cool to recommend non-Warmoth suppliers.... But Renegade Guitarworks (easily found on Flakebook and Squeebay) offers P-90 routing for all positions, and I find their quality to be at least as good as Warmoth on wood selection, and workmanship and wood machining is excellent. No finishing services - just raw wood. I've bought 3 so far, and plan on buying more in the future.

The Tele bridge rout or holes are probably missing as an option because as far as I am aware you can not get a Tele bridge with a hole for a P90, which I know is not what you intend to do but probably is the explanation.

Yes but you can get a that is cut short so it's about the size of a Strat hardtail bridge plate. And you can use them for any bridge pickup.

I've had good experience in the past just calling them about options that don't seem to exist.  They can do pretty much anything - just make a call and get what you want.

Yes, I know that but the routs seem to be based more on what you can put in a full T Style bridge.

Yes, that is definitely an option we can do for you. Just give CSR a call and they will help you out.

here is what it look like if put P90 on a tele bridge with tele bridge route. Would have some uncover seam.
