Football Jack Plate Issue

Hi Folks,

I am working on a strat type build. The football jack plate that Warmoth sent does not fit the curvature of the body. The body is mahogany. I am afraid that simply trying to bend it by screwing it in might not work and it might simply pull the screws out --  giving me a host of other problems.

What is the best solution? What have you found that works best?

It will bend when it is screwed in. Done that in basswood. No problem.
