Hey guys, new here. I'm looking into getting a Warmoth as a first build.  I'm looking at mating a korina Explorer body to a wenge flying vee neck with ebony fretboard, as the option for wenge as neck material isn't available on the Explorer/Jackson etc., necks. Anyone here done something similar, and if so, was it a good look?

Thanks in advance.

First, welcome to the board!

Second, nobody needs to have done that particular style combination - an Ebony over Wenge neck on a Black Korina body of any style is going to look good, period. The colors and contrast work well together, as do the sonic and textural qualities.

If you want to see what is looks like Epiphone has put a V neck on a 7/8 explorer already. Its called the explorer GT.

And some of the originals had the Moderne split headstock...

Do what you want, that the point of Warmoth, it's not just for building replicas. If that's the neck you want, go for it, I think it will look cool.
