Does the trem have to be perpendicular to the studs? The thing is, if it's slanted a bit backwards, the trem rests agains the body, and the action will be just perfect. I can't lower the studs anymore. The neckpocket seems to be a bit too low, thats why.

so, educate me! :)

 
It's fine like that. You just lose the ability to pull up. You could shin the neck back a bit if its a bolt on :dontknow:

I don't need to pull up. I have a lot of string left behind the (non locking) nut. and I already shimmed it. It's not enough, but I don't wanna shim it anymore than just one piece of veneer.
