Oh, my bad, well the special has zinc saddles too. But the OFR has a hardened bridge plate and posts as well as steel saddles. And the 2-7/8's spacing they say is wrong, I have 3 of them from GFS, and they have the same as the OFR post spacing as any other 2.91.DMRACO said:I am not using recessed. I believe he saddles are steel. Only mentioned the studs being zinc. The spacing seems off. 2 7/8 does not equal 2.91.....the measurement for an OFR. I will take you word for it since you are the expert.
That's what i'm guessing, they just eyeballed it with a tape measure or scale, and just called it 2.875"... :dontknow:Dan0 said:the difference between 2.91 and 2-7/8 is .035 which is just under 1mm (.0394) it's not machinist precision my any means but as long as one of the blades on the bridge are strait and they usually are you probably wouldn't notice any problems.
chances are actually that they measured it wrong in the advertisment. on a ruler 2.91 would look like 2-7/8 since .035 is about half the smallest measurment on a typical ruler.
