Fixing a chip?

I know you have to get one tiny little chip or scratch on your guitar so that you can stop being a baby about using it.  But I got a chip on my LP. and I have no freeking clue how it got there.  It's not even visibly noticeable really.  But its on the top, right at the edge, right where my forearm rubs against it when I'm strumming.  I want to just fill it in with some laquer or something..

I'll get pics. but..  any suggestions?

its like... maybe 1/8th of an inch long and about as thick as 1.5 times the thickness of a bobby pin.  I doubt I'm doing anything to make it worse but my imagination is going wild every time I play it and I have this feeling its getting bigger.  I jsut want to fixit so that I can keep playing my guitar and enjoying it.

Try to steam it out first with a damp rag and a soldering iron.  It never hurts to try it, just go slow.

It would help to know what it's finished in perhaps.

I agree with the superglue idea....the "thin" stuff.
Done it myself several times.

It is harder than lacquer.  Something to consider when sanding.
