Hello all,

Here is my first Warmoth build.

Swamp Ash/Quilt Maple Bass6 body

Wenge/Wenge Bass6 neck
  6130 Frets
  No inlay, side dots only
  1 11/16 Nut width

Vintage Perl pickguard

I plan to dye the body black, front and back, and use black hardware. Bridge will be flat mount Strat style string through. Kluson locking tuners drilled to fit larger diameter strings. Seymour Duncan P-Rail pickups.

Here are some pics for you to look at.

When I opened the neck box I was in awe. It looks better then the picture can show.
It usually does...That's gonna be pretty sweet.... :icon_thumright:

Wenge has an awesome feel to it...Buff it over a bit with some #0000 steel wool.... :headbang1:

Very cool.

I'm actually in the process of talking myself into a Bass 6 build.

I'm excited to see this finished.  Excellent idea for the bridge.  That horrid JM bridge has kept me from ordering one.

I must have bugged the people at Warmoth 10 times before ordering to find out every thing I could and couldn't do. The JM bridge is the only precut bridge option but you can choose not to have the bridge precut.

Wenge RULES.  You'll be very, VERY pleased.  Looking forward to the rest of this build!

What pickup routes did you select?  I'd like a JM with a universal route, but it's not an option.

The universal route is the only route they offer for the Bass6. I am not sure but you may be able to get similar results with the top route and three humbucker routes. That should give you at least some flexability.
