K.. so i was on another forum and I opened a new account and their policy was to not post your first post until it was read by a moderator and approved, but then after that you're given free reign.
This is good because It doesn't involve censorship of every single post you make (I'M LOOKING AT YOU BOSE!! *WRINGFIST*) but it gives us all the opportunity to avoid the bots that are beginning to invade our near-perfect little corner of the internet.
Of course this means a little bit more work for our moderators, but not too much, just one post for every new member. And really all you have to do is make sure its not a bot.
Greg, Wyliee? what do you guys think? Our little community has really grown, we're way bigger than the original forum ever was and the trappings of the internet are starting to leak in.
Perhaps you could make a few of the regular guys here moderators as well? Considering this isn't "officially" a warmoth website I don't think that would be inappropriate. You've got a good handful of guys on here that spend a lot of time on the forum and would probably be good candidates and be willing to help the rest of us have the best experience in this community. I don't have to say names but the majority of us know several people on here who are hero- and master- members who would be great for the job if they want it.
Growth sucks I guess.
Lots of us have said it.. (sometimes in drunken bliss and others sober :icon_thumright
but this is the best place on the web, and I'm okay with making some effort to keep it that way, and to keep the spambots out.
... On the other hand you guys obliterated that post really really quickly....
