First order/build. Custom Soloist!

24 Fret maple/ebony Jackson Neck
No inlays
1 11/16'' Nut Width
10-16'' Radius
6105 Frets
Wizard contour

Body:

Alder Soloist,
HH pickup configuration
Recessed OFR
Neck heel with 720 mod

All gold hardware
TB-4 Bridge pickup, SH1-N Neck pickup.
1 volume, 1 tone, 3-way switch.

I intend to finish it in pink metallic, like the guitar on the youtube clip I posted. But I was very tempted to keep it natural when I put the neck and gold together. I decided to stick with pink though and let my next project be a natural flame or quilted maple top. I have found a local painter that I'm gonna give a call tomorrow so I get it done by a professional.

Maybe it's just screaming, "I REALLY WANTED TO BUILD A PINK GUITAR."  I find when it comes to matters of taste, until someone asks for my opinion, I lead a quieter, happier life if I keep it to myself if it runs to the negative.


But don't get me started on art majors...  :icon_jokercolor:

I will defend gold hardware, but not on a pink guitar.  Keep the body natural or a little darker if you want to keep the gold hardware.  If you want a pink body, black or chrome hardware is the way to go.

Yeah, I think I'd have to go with that, too. Thing is, there's probably $300+ in hardware there, so it's not something you'd just throw in the drawer and call a bad bet. Besides, there's no accounting for taste. What really turns one person on may trip somebody else's gag reflex. So, you gotta let people create however they want. It's like looking at some proud new parent's coyote-ugly baby (and aren't they all, really?). Of course it's beautiful! What else could it be?

Gold hardware is the way to go, I love it! And I don't like the look of chrome + pink. And as I said earlier the natural looks beautiful but then I'd rather have flame or quilted maple with a mahogany/black korina back. (Which I've already planned for my next project.)

Some will hate this guitar, some will love it. I will love it and I'm thrilled about building it. Also its alot of fun to stand out from the crow. And as we all know, a man can't have too many guitars or too many projects. :laughing7:
