First Bass Build

Got this short scale P-Bass body just before Warmoth closed for quarantine  and I've been using my plentiful free time to get some work done on it. Body is roasted alder finished with 5 coats of tru-oil to a semi-gloss which I think gives a nice rustic, reclaimed wood type of vibe. Have a neck and pickguard coming from warmoth along with a P-46 pickup from Wilde.

Pickup and Q-filter just arrived from Wilde, excited to spend more time messing around with the wiring for this build, even if I end up sticking with a traditional setup in the end. Also, the neck and pickguard from Warmoth have shipped!

Neck, Pickguard, and tuners arrived. Nothing too special, Birdseye maple with ebony fingerboard, pickguard is just B/W/B.

Roasted woods might just be my new favorite. Yours looks great with that semigloss finish.
