I think it could be pretty cool to make a gibson firebird style body with my own specs. It would be a cool option for bass too.

I think they did back in the day,

But Gibson owner, Henry Juszkiewicz didn't like it, no.

Gibson threatened to sue Warmoth, so they are not going to make any of these anymore...
Perhaps someday they do something inspired, but not a exact copy

Yes, obviously they did once upon a time. That one belongs to Rene, I made the neck plate for it... :headbang1:

They made those along with several other Gibby styles...

You mind being specific? What exactly are your own specs?

Floyd Rose, Rainbow flake, 10 single coil sized humbuckers. 13 mini switches as well as 1 volume pot no tone pot (I don't really have much use for the tone pot)

Sound reasonable?

OK, so we're talking about a Nigel Tufnel kind of vibe.... Doable, maybe..... Reasonable? Matter for long discussion, I suppose.

Only 10 pickups? What if you want to give it that extra push, over the cliff?

I installed a Boss Metal-Zone into the middle of the guitar underneath of it, because the middle of the body is thicker it fits the pedal perfectly. So when I want that extra gain I just slam the body against my leg or stomach and BAM! Extra gain!  :o

Have fun with all that magnetic damping. It'll be a Banjo with that much magnetic pull  :turtle:
