Working on adding inlay onto a guitar body. Some of the inlay will involve abalone and mother of pearl flakes. I'm planning on using TruOil as the finish. Is there any issue using TruOil over abalone or mother of pearl?
I never heard of that being a problem. If their real abalone and MoPearl they should accept most any finish. But I would second stratamania's suggestion of testing and possibly a coat of shellac to seal it off... :headbang:
