It's got nothing to do with me making world renowned guitars.Who says that this wood sustains any better? HE DOES. Show me that published somewhere as an impartial scientific fact, and I'll believe you.    :icon_biggrin:
I couldn't find the documentary I saw. But here is something else. http://www.plosone.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0004245

I've voiced my opinion on this subject before, so forgive me if this is redundant (but i guess this whole subject is somewhat redundant, but i digress....)

I agree that the only thing that matters is finish thickness, and not what type of finish, HOWEVER, it seems to be much easier to get a super thin finish using nitro.  So, in that way, nitro is better. But not because it actually sounds better, but rather because you can easily achieve a super-thin finish.

I like a combination of Tone worms and smashed dead bugs as a finish...
I also like to route my signal through a crab commuting suicide and an old shoe for that oaky timbre
A man of the mighty boosh I see.

+1 to that.  The Satin finishes W does on their necks are Nitrocellulose. They're so thin, people call and think there neck doesn't have a finish.  It's so thin, the tuners actually fit in the reamed holes.  No finish removal required.  I would say paper thin, but I think paper is thicker.
