So, I picked up that figured Mahogany Strat neck from the showcase a few weeks ago, and I was looking for something subtle but beautiful to compliment it. I picked up an Alder body from a forum user here, and had my luthier plug the trem cavity to make it a hardtail. I always wanted a transparent green SG, but never liked how Mahogany looked dyed green, and I don't like the instability of SGs in relation to the neck. I also wanted a P90 and a warm humbucker while maintaining the "classic" look. I know that sounds silly given what I've done, but I'm happy with it.
My 2 year old helped me put it together last night, and here's a crappy camera phone pic. Better pics to come tonight.
The guts aren't wired yet, and my HUGE PROBLEM is that I can't decide what type of knob to use.

edit: These aren't great, but the sun wouldn't come out and it looked like rain. I'll post good ones when the sun comes out.
