Figured Mahogany neck Strat/SG build

So, I picked up that figured Mahogany Strat neck from the showcase a few weeks ago, and I was looking for something subtle but beautiful to compliment it.  I picked up an Alder body from a forum user here, and had my luthier plug the trem cavity to make it a hardtail.  I always wanted a transparent green SG, but never liked how Mahogany looked dyed green, and I don't like the instability of SGs in relation to the neck.  I also wanted a P90 and a warm humbucker while maintaining the "classic" look.  I know that sounds silly given what I've done, but I'm happy with it.

My 2 year old helped me put it together last night, and here's a crappy camera phone pic.  Better pics to come tonight.

The guts aren't wired yet, and my HUGE PROBLEM is that I can't decide what type of knob to use.

edit: These aren't great, but the sun wouldn't come out and it looked like rain.  I'll post good ones when the sun comes out.

Honestly, that speed knob was my first instinct.  I'm just not sure how it will look being the lone knob.

very nice, but it deserves better pictures... especially with a neck like that!
show us some good guitarporn!

Use a chrome barrel knob.
Or a chrome dome knob!

In my opinion, thad would look best  :headbang:

It's a killer axe for sure!

Yea, for some reason I thought there were 2 knobs so a single black knob might look weird. I change my vote for the dome chrome :glasses9:

I promise that I'll post better pics in a couple hours.  I think I will go with the single chrome dome knob, but the holes for the knob and switch are slightly too small, and I'm afraid of ruining the finish, so I might have my luthier ream the holes.

a speed knob looks good by itself! i think, anyway. a plain old black strat knob would look awesome too
