Hey dudes and ladydudes, my Jaguar body and neck arrived in the mail today! WOO! It's in Fiesta Red, for those who haven't seen the thread located here: http://www.unofficialwarmoth.com/index.php?topic=17866.0

Anyways, it's got a strat headstock as I don't dig the large CBS style of headstock. I think it looks good on a tele deluxe, that's about it.

Back to the juicy goodness. The finish is impeccable, and the neck has basically been rubbed in crisco. Super smooth feeling. Don't expect any progress on this build for a short while. When I get pickups I'll start a slow Work In Progress thread up. Pictures below. Lighting on the porch isn't the best, and Fiesta Red is a hard color to photograph with an iphone.

First: the headstock. http://oi39.tinypic.com/2zzsz9s.jpg Click the links cause they're humongoid pictures.

Secondly: the front of the body. http://oi43.tinypic.com/357kj1s.jpg

Both are looking great, so far. When I can I'll get a minimal or no glare shot of the back of the body, to hopefully display how red it really is. Cheers!  :occasion14:

Lookin' good!

I agree with the Strat headstock choice. The Jaguar/Jazzmaster/CBS versions look like paddleheads worked on by users who were afraid of their tools. Way too much real estate on those things.

I'm glad to see it made it home safe! I look forward to seeing it put together, enjoy the vintage lacquer goodness.

I will, Greg! Thanks again. It looks so great in person!  :occasion14:

Yummie  :toothy10:
Great piece of fine work Tonar  :icon_thumright: .... again !!

OK Tipperman you put me onto Bare Knuckles sometime back.

So what puppies you got for this little gem ?
Or
You going full VINTAGE spec's  :laughing7:

Custom bare knuckle Jaguar pups. Full vintage except for the nut and bridge. Mastery Bridge, no mute.  :occasion14: :laughing7:

Oh you know it man. Gotta put BKPs in. No choice really. Thinking about BKPs for every guitar. :dontknow:

@Updown: Got pickups here now, packing everything up to ship to cagey. Here's a mockup for you, though. Full VINTAGE! Except for the Mastery Bridge, fretboard radius, frets etc... Only indoor lighting as I wasn't going to mockup outdoors and risk forking up the finish. I'm sloppy on the neck pickup. It's just because of the wire being coiled up on the left.

Now I feel bad about asking you to do all this. I'm gonna go cry in a corner listening to emo music.  :icon_jokercolor:

Oh yeah that, WILL look great  :icon_thumright:  ...... WILL sound great  :headbang:

And keep Cagey busy for a little while  :laughing7:

I can see the headstock, but what are the neck spec's ? or did I miss that bit  :toothy11:

The neck is a custom built Warmoth Pro. Maple neck, Rosewood slab board, 22 frets  (Of course, it's a Jaguar!), SS 6105 (A departure for me. I use ss6230s mostly), fatback, 14 inch radius, white corian nut.

Glad you like it! I'm really excited about the tonal possibilities here. If the Lollars are as great as they seem, I'll be getting more and building another Jaguar some time. Love the Jags. Strats, Jags, and Tele's, oh my!

Just noticed  :toothy11:

There going to be wood mounted pups, with a pickguard.
Mmmmm ...... Interesting I just learnt something about Jags.
  Didn't know thats how it was done on them. But never really looked before either.
