Fender Player Hardware vs Warmoth Hardware

When I was growing up my bass guitar was a red Squier Affinity P-Bass, incrementally upgraded on Christmas and birthdays. Obviously, real jobs brought real money, and with it, a guitar collection that had me scarcely remembering that first bass.
A few months ago I saw a Fender Player P-Bass that was the same color reasonably priced on Reverb, and thought it might be a fun project to rebuild my Squier on a higher quality platform. I've already obtained the parts that were upgrades to the original project, and I'm wondering if I should go further.
Basically, I'm wondering if the pots, tuners, knobs, pickguard, etc, that come standard on a Player Precision are equal quality to those one can obtain from the Warmoth store. Any thoughts?

TL;DR Should I replace the pickups on my stock Fender Player P-Bass, or wire an all new pickguard with pickups and pots and replace the tuners?

The parts sold in the warmoth store are no worse or better than the same part you can buy elsewhere, it's just convenient when buying a big order.  You might want to explore exactly you are trying to do,  google is your friend.  For instance, there's switches galore out there that do all kinds of things, wiring diagrams up the wazoo, different kinds of bridges made from different materials.  These are fun things to think about.

In terms of upgrading your bass, just go for it and replace everything.  You'll learn a lot in the process and help focus what's appealing to you.

There is no point replacing things for the sake of it, only if there is a reason. Why not just play it for a while and then decide what you may or may not want to do?

+1 to that.  I've gotten great results from cheap hardware.  I would not replace anything until it's not working the way you'd like.  BTW, that includes not looking the way you'd like.  :)
