New to the forum (first time posting) and what brought me here was my search for LSR screws. I know this thread is nearly two years old, but I have an update on the McMaster-Carr screws posted above by supertruper. I ordered these screws hoping they would work...and they *seem* to be the right size...the diameter reads 0.073" on my digital calipers, just like the official Fender part as shown by Turtle. They do fit into the LSR mounting holes, but they don't easily "fall through" the hole...it needs to be sort of screwed through a little bit (not sure if this is normal or not with the stock screws). The specifications on McMaster-Carr call for a #52 bit (0.0635"), whereas the LSR instructions call for a #51 (0.0670"). What I plan on trying out is doing a "test drill and install" with just the screw and a piece of scrap maple, using the #51 bit as called for by the LSR installation instructions. FYI...the flat head of the screw just about sits flat with the surface of the LSR nut but not quite...it is barely above the top...maybe the angle on the underside of the screw head doesn't quite match the recessed part of the screw hole? I'll report back when I get around to installing it if the "test run" looks promising.
