So this seems to be a good week for me. Today, my uncle gave me his beautiful Fender 1200 SX from the early 90's. Spruce top, mahogany back & sides, Beautiful rosewood fingerboard. Headstock logo and inlays are mother of pearl. The neck is nice & slim and the action is almost like most of my electrics. It also has a Fishman Piezo pickup, but I'm not sure if that was stock. I found it on the fender website, and they went for about $950 new. This thing plays amazing and has a really nice warm tone. Definitely one that I'm never going to sell!
This is the only Fender acoustic that I've ever played, and actually liked. I've always been a Taylor acoustic guy. It also has infinite sentimental value, because I grew up watching him play this thing, and he's been my biggest role model, and the reason I started playing in the first place, for my entire life. I seriously almost choked up when he offered it to me.
