Just a little jam with Daisy Duke, my carved-top velocity.  Bridge pickup:  DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary bridge.  As always, I'm just an OK player.  No one will be wowed by my video.  I just love the guitar.  In particular, I really like the tone this guitar ended up making.  :eek:ccasion14:

That guitar sounds so good. That maple fretboard pops so nice with that blue headstock and body. All around awesomeness! Really digging everything about it Doc.

Thanks, Surf n Music (Eric?)!  What I really like about this bridge pickup is that it gives a really smooth drive when soloing.  But when you dig into the strings for a doublestop or even a heavier, palm-muted passage, it gets a sweet growl to it.  The Area 58 in the neck really shines on clean stuff.  Really bell-like and chimey.

Thanks for giving it a listen.  :icon_thumright:

Ya Eric :) I don't have any Dmarzio's but this has me looking. It will be a pit but I am dreaming of a VIP with a beauitful top. Might have to follow you're lead with a matching headstock and maple board. Just looks so good.

A lot of things look great with a matching headstock.  I have a spalted soloist with an ebony board and a bengal burst V2 with a canary board.  Both have matching headstocks.  I think the key is that the board can have color, but not too much of a grain pattern or things get too busy in a hurry.

I love DiMarzios.  :laughing7:

I agree. I was quite surprised some years back when a thread was started asking about such a thing, and the overwhelming opinion was against it. You still don't see it very often.

Silly humans.

Thanks for the video, Doc. That's a fine sounding guitar with the looks to match.

Thank you for giving it a look/listen, and thanks for the kind words, Rgand.  :icon_thumright:

I keep feeling like I'm cheating on Ms Nesbit (my purple tele) lol.  That DD is a home wrecker!
