Hi All, I just wanted to show some people my latest project, I am very happy with both how it looks and it's incredible tone.

It is a Mahogany Body with Wenge top, Wenge neck (wizard) Ebony fingerboard and Bareknuckle pickups (2 Cold Sweat humbuckers one Stockholm p90) 6 way pickup selector with coil tapping and phase selection on pickup rings, a 7 way tone circuit and an EMG Afterburner.

Thanks!!

That is totally, totally slick. Are you familiar with Peter Malinoski's work?

I don't like some of the lines he uses, but the basic concept is great. Yours looks better... Say he:
I never wanted to make someone else's instrument any more than I wanted to copy someone else's painting.”

Thanks everyone :D I'm really happy it is appreciated here :) Although until you hear the thing it cant be truly appreciated as I'm sure you will agree ;) it sustains forever!

The centre pickup is a Bare Knuckle Stockholm, I wanted it really versatile and adding in the p90 there plus the tapped humbuckers really does give it lots of different tones for sure.

Those Peter Malinoski works look lovely I really have a thing for figured wood, I have just put a figured walnut top on an old Washburn n1 I have had for about 16 years, it looks the nuts.

The actual SG it was based on started out as a kinda homage to Frank Zappa's Baby Snakes SG

I loved the way there is that stripe around the bevel and the crazy electronics too, with the mad pick up selecting, mid boost and the green ringer (although i did away with that idea, wouldn't really use one) I may have got a little carried away and added an extra pickup and incorporated 25 pickup switching possibilities multiplied by the 7 tone circuits which theoretically gives 175 tones (plus double that if you turn the after burner on i guess?) however some of the differences are so subtle I wouldn't be able to tell them apart!

I might rewire this to be more simple later on but once I know which tones I use the most. Plus I can't recommend the wenge neck enough! it is sooo fast..

ok enough of my slushy words.. haha

Thanks for all your appreciation!
