EMG to Passives?

so i was going to get an ESP/LTD 7 string guitar but i dont want EMGs. would it be possible without routing or Pup Rings to just drop some 7 String passives in. I can always fill PUP screw holes with wood so its flat mount, thats not a problem.

I got rid of the EMG-81s in my ESP M-II, and replaced them with Seymour Duncan and Dimarzio passives.
You have to change the volume (and tone, if any) control to a 500k ohm, since the EMGs use a 25k ohm pot.
It's pretty easy, and I don't see why a 7-string would be any more difficult.

EMG's also often don't require a ground wire, so you may need to add that as well.

Yes, I forgot to mention that (thanks). I had to add a ground wire to the spring claw.

Yah most of the guitars i own have it grounded to the spring claw anyways so i probably would have done that myself. thanks though
