Still waiting on the neck for the hollow bubinga bodied bass, M*sikraft get your fingers out!

But here's a picture of my two 8 string basses:

The Warmoth fretless neck on the 'Mystery' body! following some reinforcement of the pocket, have you seen how much pressure 8 bass strings put on a neck? 

I think next year I'll think about recutting the bridge to get the stings closer together at the bridge end.

It's surprising. Typical set tensions on a 4 string bass range from 180 to 200 pounds, so on your 8 string... what? 350 pounds, give or take a ton? You'd think the neck would just fold up  :laughing7:

But that is for flappy old round wounds, not sure if flats would make much difference? Pyramid strings are lighter side for flats. ever tried the Rotosound 77 Jazz Flats heavy/Steve Harris set? Wooo Carpel tunnel wreckers!

Managed to get 5 minutes free, to get quick, out of tune bass ramblings to give you some idea of what they sounded like, maybe one day I'll get everything set up so I'm actually concentrating on what I'm playing not if its' actually recording blah blah...

I start off just playing the big strings before adding the higher ones, so you can play it like a 4 string
