Well, it could "replace" that whole rig, in that it would be just as loud (in fact, louder), but you'd lose the huge versatility you have between the roadster and the V3.  The Queens of the Stone Age play through bass amps and it sounds cool, but it's just one sound....  Unless you're strapped for cash or something, I say don't do it.

Well, I'm not that sure what about it is so appealing, Other than the way it sounds... duh!

But as to what exactly it is that I love?

I don't know... I just decided to plug into it today just for kicks and ended up falling in love... The cleans are crystal clear with the drive down, and they break up real purdy like when you turn it up a bit.. (Just like a tube head).

Could it be the fact that it's solid state? Or maybe the 10in speakers? The smaller cab encloser? hmmmm... *Ponders* :dontknow: :icon_scratch:

James, if it's got the tone you're looking for, you MUST do it.  A lot of great guitarists get their distinct tones from a unique amp setup... Hendrix, EVH, Tony Iommi, Josh Homme, etc.  If you can get your own unique tone, use it and MAKE it YOUR tone...

...and one day Carvin will make the "JamesL R600G" 600 watt guitar half-stack and sell it for five times what you bought it for back in 2008.  :icon_thumright:
