hey guys I just picked up one of these babies. I like the sound a lot!!! anyone have one of these?? have you liked it so far? had any problems with it???

A bandmate shouldn't be raving
Glad you found an amp you like, i love my ashdown i just bought too  :laughing7:

I went down to GC to demo some of the Egnator stuff, it had a nice sound for the price point and I will say looked real good on the outside, When I turned it around and started looking at the insides I was not really impressed, the tubes were not in strait. I pointed this out to the sales guy and he thought I was joking till the thing cut out and he had to take it to the back to get it trouble shot, I started playng through a Jet City that I liked and ended up on a Vox.
It probably was just a GC hurry up and get it on the floor issue. I am sure the tubes probably got loose in transit. As with the look of the amp and the sound I doubt if they scrimp on assembly. I am looking for another vendor in the area that handles them so I can go try them out again.

well after a couple of days playing through this baby nonstop it has turned out to be everything I had hoped for and more!

extremely versatile with killer sound at any volume! great cleans and bloody mean mean mean crunch sound! the response is killer as well!

I have played through it with 6 guitars so far....

- Fender amer stnd strat
- PRS standard 24
-PRS Mcarty 10top
-Warmoth Z w/emg 85s
-Warmoth LPS with Tx/Bbq buckers
-Warmoth soloist with floyd and EMG 81

every one of the guitars has a unique tone through this amp and really shines in different ways.

it really takes the EMG humbuckers well! especially the 81 which kinda surprised me as I have never found a tube tone I really like with the 81!

all in all this amp rocks, will sound great with any guitar and pickup combo and I highly recommend it!

I have the Tweaker head + cab, and it's pretty awesome for the price and for the feature set. Shockingly good, actually.

I keep coming back to this stuff
seems for the money and features at the low output levels the Egnater is the stuff to go with
I do see where you can order special from Jet city
anyway, I think I will  end up with the Egnator, but get a 2 12 cab so I can get a bit of width from it, I would love to go 4 ten, any one try pushing that big of a cab yet?

Beast...  :laughing7:

I got 'lucky' 13 out of the first 20 I believe and yep, it's a keeper!  :icon_thumright:

Bought a Shure SM57 today for the Iso Cab (have been using a SM58 hoping it wouldn't crack under the pressure) so if I can just find some spare time (as if!), I can sit down to serious business with this amp/combo.  :headbang:

BTW, the SM58 and SM57 are actually the same microphone, the only difference being that the SM58 has a windscreen.  The windscreen does affect response however.  I have used a 58 in a pinch on guitar amps in recording situations and have achieved a 57 like tone by removing the windscreen.

Thanx Trevor I wasn't completely sure if the 58 was just a 57 with a windscreen, or whether it had some enhancements done to it to voice it better for vocals which might have made it less accomodating to a roaring guitar speaker up close.

here is my buddy at NAMM playing through one
