I guess we should make this a regular feature, this listing stunned me so much, I'm at a temporary loss for words....

Uhm....
The price is high for labor?
Nah... it's not finished.
Quality?
The thing has burns on it, and the parts can't be that hard to get.

That is astounding.

I think the handcrafted grinder burn marks are extra $$$ He has another offering of the same pieces for $900 instead of $1399 as well:

Okay. I was thinking the guy was crazy. Only someone who knows his stuff would give handcrafted grinder burns. Alfang, you had some disposable income?

That's pretty sweet, would be a fun project. But the price is just a little absurd for something that needs that much work...

First thing I'd do is sculpt that heel back some more, probably almost to the body....

That price does not seem insane like the Chauvet Clapton was.  That top is sick, probably worth a few hundred dollars, plus it's a bunch of hardware and a Brazilian fretboard, which he should play up more in his ad.  There may be some DIYers out there who would be into this.  I'd say it's kind of a ripoff at that price but not by a factor of 100 like Chauvet was.

Man if there are peeps out there paying that kinda coin for unfinished projects like that, then I need to get me a router. Cause I'm sure I could make some custom burn marks too...

Funny I checked out the links and somebody actually bought those two guitars!!!!  Bidding has ended for both of them via buy it now?!?!?!?!

Except the winning bidder didn't actually have any bids.... it's OK, he's from Singapore, they don't understand that here in America we never try to rip anybody off. :laughing11: Nice wood. I'm pretty sure that if old Les Pauls weren't "worth" $250,000 sight unseen we wouldn't see this, or $800 power cords, or $50 guitar picks. If you slobbered the right goo on there and screwed on some good bits, it would be a "better" guitar than a $250,000 Les Paul. Gee I'm glad I'm poor, it's made me smart.... :toothy12:

Judging from the pictures, it was actually the same parts in three auctions, the one for $1399.99 and two separate other ones at $900...
