Dual Humbucker Sound on Gibson.

I love the dual humbucker sound on this Gibson. Can you get that same sound with S,S,H or S,S,S? I know the humbucker gives that hard rock sound,but does it take two to get that sound?

SSS is out of question for a sound like that, and HSS isn't such a great idea either. In my opinion strats with just two humbuckers look great! Keep in mind that body and neck wood play a huge part in sound.

Nope, you'll need 2 humbuckers to pull off that video.  On the beginning of the vid hes on the bridge pickup.  At the end when hes playing clean its on the neck pickup. 

The SG has a light body though.  You could pull off the tone with a strat with HxH

I'll second that, get an awesome double PAF strat with mahogany body mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard... It would be even cooler if you got the angled strat neck in gibson scale. That'll make the tone even warmer. The best part, though is that it won't be neck heavy like an SG. Make sure to get a recessed TOM bridge too. Gotta have the SUSTAIN!!! :rock-on: :headbang:
