Dual Gang push/pull pot

I have a dual gang push/pull pot with 2 shaft and 6 lugs the top shaft is label as "B50k" and the bottom shaft is label as "B500k". I've never used dual gang pot before and not sure what to do.  :dontknow:

My question is can I ignore the top shaft(B50k) and just use the bottom B500k with the DPDT switch? will it function normally just like push/pull pot if i didn't wire anything on the top shaft?

The two pots are completely isolated. You don't have to use them both.

okay, thanks for the quick reply. I'll just use them like a normal push/pull.
