Dream Jazzmaster

So I got a delivery from the stork today.

Swamp Ash Chambered body and contoured heel routed for Strat/Strat/Jazz with a Pearl White finish.

Black Pearloid pickguard.

All Maple Satin finished neck, Modern Construction, '59 Roundback, 10-16 inch radius, 22 stainless steel jumbo frets (6150), Black TUSQ Earvana Nut, Schaller locking tuners.

---

Once she's done she'll have Seymour Duncan Antiquity II Surf Strat pickups and an Antiquity II Jazzmaster, a 5 way switch, push/pull Master Volume (puts the bridge pickup on in positions 4 and 5), and Master Tone. White pickup covers and white Jazz Bass knobs. And a Mastery Tremolo and Bridge.

I don't trust myself to put her together, so she's already dropped off at Imperial Guitar in New Paltz, NY for a proper assembly, shielded and star grounded cavity and all.

The anxiety of waiting the past two months has been killing me. If it was palpable before, it's tangible now. I am so stoked for her to be playable.

Damn, that's nice looking. I'm jealous, all the stork ever brought me was kids!

Welcome to the forum! Be sure to enter the giveaway for a Soloist body with custom artwork by Great Ape. If you haven't seen any of his work, have a look around. I made a list at one time, but I can't find it now. Maybe somebody remembers seeing it and will provide a link.

That Jazzmaster is going to be gorgeous! Warmoth really does a fine job with that pearl white, and the choices you've made are great. I'll look forward to seeing it completed.

Thanks guys. I was blown away when I first saw the finish in person. I had some pretty wild expectations and Warmoth far surpassed them in every manner. I'll keep ya updated once she gets back from the shop.

I've lurked for years before making my purchase and registering here and have seen his stuff. Dude is amazing. Great Ape, if you read this, know that I'd be honored to shake your hand but I'm both unworthy and a little fearful of damaging such a precious tool. And that isn't to say I've got a strong handshake. I'm just a spaz and highly danger-prone. Keep on rocking! And consider that contest entered.

Awesome looking Jazzmaster. I love it.
I have been contemplating a white body myself (Mustang, not Jazzmaster and olympic white not pearl white, but still) also with a black pearl pickguard.
I'll be following this eagerly :icon_thumright:

She's finally done!

The guys at Imperial Guitar in New Paltz NY did an excellent job of getting her running. Wired her up like a G&L ASAT Z-3 and holy crap is there more than enough tone than I can dream of.

I'll see if I can get any suitable recordings from band practice later today.

Beautiful! Love the color combinations. In fact, it's the same I have been thinking of for a future build.
Congrats to an excellent looking guitar.
Look forward to sound clips.

Great looking Jazzy! I've often seen White Pearl cars and thought that the color would be better suited to a guitar body than a Uni-Body. You just showed me that I was right! Congrats on your new axe.

I'm late to the party. Goodness gracious that's a beauty. Serious, serious wood there. I love the contrast of the white paint, pickguard, and maple neck. The "unconventional" (read: awesome) pickup combo really strikes me. I'm genuinely jealous.
