Hi, all -


I am up against it here.  I can't keep making 'em if I don't clear space.  And the most marketable part I have (and oddly, the one to which I am least attached) is the body that became Bête Noire.  Some of you are familiar with her.


So:  This is an offer to sell ONLY the body, cream pickguard and mounting screws and the Dream 90 pup in the neck position.    There are some wear marks, but nothing obtrusive.  I will rub it to as high a sheen as I can achieve before  I pack for shipment.


Knobs, switches, pots, bridge, bridge pickup, control plate, strap buttons, neck plate, electrosocket jack NOT INCLUDED.


I'd like to see $350 plus shipping.

I also have a very lightly used gloss vintage-tint VMT Tele neck drilled for Sperzels, 6150 nickel/silver frets and straight 9.5" radius that I will throw in with the bodyfor $200, or sell separately for $225.

Of all the things to get rid of...

Don't you have any spare kids, a wife with only one strike left, or a piano in a corner somewhere that hasn't been played in 17 years?

Although, I understand the predicament. I need to thin the herd, too. But, I'm not going to start with the prizewinners!
 
Well, when push comes to shove - my prize-winner is reproducible.  My green mahogany tele with the toddler-inflicted battle-scars - not so much.  Quty Pie - one of a kind.  While a fine specimen of her breed, Bête Noire is - apart from her rather special neck - fungible.  Easy decision to make.
 
Dang, that is a tough one.  I would love to take ownership of this beauty, but I am in the same predicament as you. 
I am to the point that I need to thin out the herd before taking on any new geetars.
Is that pickguard routed special for the Dream 90 or will it take a standard humbucker?
Does the guitar of the month and guitar of the year banner go with her  :dontknow:
I will be looking through my stock to see if I can possibly take on a newcomer...

You're right, of course. It's just such a fine specimen. But, it's also true that you can crunch all you want. We'll make more.
 
:eek: This makes me both sad and glad.

Sad because you have to let it go.

Glad because I'm Denmark so I don't have to contemplate if I should the new owner.

Hope all works out for you and it gets a new fine home. My guess is that it will sell quickly.

Every time I have an urge / gas for something like this, I gotta go look in the cupboard, and do a head count.

Yeah, it's starting to get a little embarrassing. Like it's indicating a mental/emotional problem that everybody but me sees. Normally, I couldn't care less what other people think, but I'd rather not look too dysfunctional if I can help it. The NSA is watching, after all.

My first Warmoth was an attempt to thin the herd down to a couple of good guitars. I think I was down to 4 or 5 at the time. Now I'm +20 (not all Warmoths though)  :doh: I do sell one occasionally because I sometimes buy a used guitar out of curiosity. But input is greater than the output.

I bought two (non-Warmoth) guitars last week  :icon_biggrin: If that's dysfunctional I intend to stay that way for the rest of my life.  :party07:

At first I thought I did that too. Turns out I just keep buying both kinds.  :toothy11:
 
This makes me want to stick to my two prized Warmoths and not build anymore. That way they'll stay as special as they are...
