So, I'm not ashamed to admit it, I still take guitar lessons on a weekly basis. Yes, I'm 42 years old and I've been playing since I was 16 and have been in bands over the years and have played out more times than I can remember. Still, there's always something to learn and if nothing else the teacher and I can sit around and jam for an hour and it only costs me 20 bucks. Anyway, lately I've been working on blues stuff. I'll also openly admit that I have no sense for blues music and totally suck at it, another reason for taking lessons. Anyway, today I took my Music Man AXIS with me to my lesson. I gotta tell ya right now, a MM AXIS is not made for blues music. HAHA!!! Got home tonight and plugged in the Clapton strat to go over what we worked on today, and although it sounded great, there was major buzz coming through the amp because the active pups picking something up from being in front of the computer here. Lo and behold, I grabbed the white Warmoth and it felt great and sounded great. I swear to God this white strat, Feb GOTM, is the finest instrument I've ever owned.

I've had similar experience with active pickups. Dead quiet plugged into an amp, but can pick up digital noise from computers.

I know what you mean.  Kashmir is the finest guitar I've ever owned as well.  The other W teles that I have are all close seconds too...

My cheapest Warmoth is also my finest playing guitar... (ash with Wenge neck)
My GOTY is probably the best sounding .. I love the Texas/BBQ buckers on that thing! my ex warmoth with Bloodwood neck had a fantastic tone and sustain. I really really need to buy another bloodwood neck for another project to prove that bloodwood is the ultimate sustaining neck!

Marko had to play the Guitar Of The YEAR card to trump your GOTM.  :icon_tongue:

yes, so far I am the only one with that title, so I intend to use that all year long!
and technically, it is also the guitar of the decade hahaha!
