Well it was an interesting ride...but relatively smooth for a first build I guess.  The overall goal was awesome tone and we achieved that.  It's pretty plain and simple but it sounds great and my son is very happy with it.

Body:  Swamp Ash
Neck:  Maple/Maple
Pickups:  Fralin Pure PAF Humbucker Bridge
              Fralin Blues Special Neck
Tuners:  Gotoh Vintage
Color:  Black Cherry Burst

We sprayed the finish on using a Preval Unit....staining the nitro and darkening as we went to create a burst effect.  The neck is tru-oiled finish.  All in all it's nothing fancy for sure, but she's a player...keeping up with the Les Pauls we have in the stable.  I'm particularly impressed with the Fralin strat pickup...very very nice...and strong for only being wound to 6.2k.

Thanks all.  I let my son pick the style.  He originally wanted a Jaguar....then he saw the Mustang...LOL.  Hence he went for the Jagstang.  We will have to try recording a sound clip but haven't had much success at that in the past.

My son had the amp custom built.  It is a Brutis 30 by Dave Lancaster of Peoria, IL.  The normal channel replicates a JTM45...he also successfully added footswitchable "drive" and "overdrive" which duplicates a JCM800 and Bogner Ecstasy, respectfully.  It's quite the little amp.  I had the cab made for him at the same time.  It holds two Jensen Blackbird 100w Alnico speakers.
