Does anybody have a Blacktop pbass?

Hi Ned Thanks for the reply. I have the pickguard and electronics from a Fender Blacktop Pbass. I ordered a Warmoth body without the pickup routs and have mounted the pickguard. No brainer for the neck pickup location, but I need to locate the bridge pup. I can get an "about"position from pictures, but I don't have any measurements. My guess is that it would be the same as the double J in the Tiger ...blue Bass.?? Off topic...Nice wood from Warmoth. Plan on mounting the jack in the guard and using a stacked vol. pot. The control cavity rout is tight for full sized CTS pots, but they fit. I'd like a good look at an OEM body, but haven't seen any on Ebay...

I had a blacktop P Bass. Paid for 4 setups with 3 different techs. Tried light strings and medium strings. I could have had a lemon but we could never get the neck to stop bending so the action was always ridiculously high. Sold it for almost what I paid for it to a beginner player. It was a great sounding bass.

Wow! They have been making necks forever. I'm using the electronics in a Warmoth build and need accurate measurements for the bridge PUP. Jazz, blacktop, or the Tiger blue? would get me started. What are you playing now? Glad to hear it sounded good at least.
