Did the Standard Thin profile change slightly?

Hi- I'm new to this forum- I am a long time Warmoth user (15+) years.  They are all I play.

I have a few standard thin necks that I've used for many years and ordered another one about 8 months ago.  I haven't played it much and have worked it into the rotation.  It isn't as comfortable as the others I have.  I sat down to figure out why recently and realized that it has alot more shoulder and is slightly thicker overall than the others that I have.  It isn't a bad neck at all- it is just not like the other Standard Thin necks that I have.

My question is- Did Warmoth update their Standard thin profile at some point?  I realize that the heel changed from the older ones that I have.  I was wondering is they slightly thickened the profile from what it was.

I believe it depends to the final sanding that is done by hand. I have been through 3 FAT profiles with considerable differences in size. One was so big I sold it and the other is closer to a '59 than a FAT. On the other hand, the 2 '59's I have feel the same.

That makes sense.  I thought that maybe I got a '59 roundback, but nope.
It is different than the other standard thins I have for sure.

I don't really follow forum stuff too much anymore and was just wondering if maybe Warmoth revamped their neck profiles. Its still a very nice neck, just slightly different than I am used to.

I can't really see them changing anything such as a neck profile, especially since all profiles are cnc cut. Unless there was an issue with the cutter, I would tend to be in the same viewpoint as Kostas.

Yeah, changing a profile would be a major thing, like changing a body style. I can't imagine they'd do that unless something just didn't sell, but even then, why? Just don't make any more in that style.

They definitely changed the heel of their necks where they bolt to the body.  The older ones I have almost have a PRS-like heel.  The newer ones have a more Fender-like heel.  That is what made me think "hmmm- I wonder if they made these alittle thicker."
Fender seems to change the profile of their necks slightly all the time...

I have a Standard Thin on my Warmoth Strat, and I love it, but that's the thickest I would ever want to go (I have small hands). I hope they are consistant, because I intend to build two more Warmoths.

For what it is worth, the Standard Thins I have gotten have felt consistent. As have the boatnecks. Yes, I am playing guitars from both ends of the neck spectrum. Some of us are strange that way.
