The problem with the gretsches/335s, are they are supposed to be big guitars! VIP's are not supposed to be "huge". Anyway, lets hope a miracle happens and I get a job, then I can save up for one.

why a miracle? just apply for a job, lets say, flipping burgers at macdonalds, burger king or kentucky fried chicken?! I work in a cinema, to pay for my guitars; its a pathetic job, but the money is decent and good, and the colleagues are nice, and that goes a long way.

Just play and forget how it looks on you. If you liked your first you will definitely build another so you can make a different Warmoth next time.
