Greetings,

I'm pleased to announce the December, 2011 Guitar of the Month contest, and a special contest it will be too!

December's contest will be for any 2nd place or 3rd place winner, from February through November, 2011.

A new submission will need to be sent to the uwfgom@gmail.com email account to be entered into this contest

Please read the GOM rules, which have been refined, with some slight changes, and are posted in a sticky in this forum area.

Submissions must be sent, to uwfgom@gmail.com, and contain two images no greater than 1024x768, along with your description and details of the instrument.

Please indicate which month your submission was either 2nd place or 3rd place winner, so staff doesn't have to research every entry (thank you!).

In turn, those images will posted to this message, which is December's submission thread.

Submissions will be accepted from DECEMBER 1st to DECEMBER 7th, so get your cameras clicking!

All discussion for the submissions can take place below, along with other pictures hosted by the poster.

Good luck, and may the best guitar/bass win!

Someone can double check in case I screwed something up (again).

To answer several folks at once -

YES - you can take new pictures and submit them, so long as the guitar is the same one that came in 2nd or 3rd place during the year.

And remember - February though December's winning entries will automatically entered into the Guitar of the Year contest in January, 2012

An update to avoid confusion:

1.  Please resubmit any 2nd or 3rd place entry from Feb 2011 through November 2011.  Entry is not automatic, as some entrants may be strategically planning entry, guitars may have changed or changed hands, etc.  If you want your instrument entered in the December Guitar of the Month contest, you'll need to resubmit it.

2.  You can use the same pictures as before, or submit new pictures - or a little of each, so long as its no more than two pictures, not overly large (1024x768 max)

3.  You'll need to supply which month your entry was 2nd or 3rd place in - so staff does not have to research every entry.

This is a "second chance" contest for all those great instruments that didn't happen to win during the year.

Remember:  You can resubmit a previous entry for any month that its criteria is suitable, ie, "owner finished".  December is reserved ONLY for past runner's up (2nd and 3rd place).

Also remember, that just as in February through November, the December winner WILL be automatically entered into the January 2012 "Guitar of the Year" contest.

Many thanks, and thank you for re-submitting all of your many fine examples of guitar building.

man...my pool is covered so I will have to find some place else to get some photos taken.

Does this mean we get 2 votes? I'm confused ???
NO .... it's for second & third place getters though-out the year, having an all in brawl to determine
who is GOTM for December.

One Vote per person  :icon_biggrin: as per usual

hard to believe there are all just runner ups.  Some fine looking instruments.

Ummmm, shouldn' there be more guitars? 2nd & 3rd places for 11 months...let's see... :icon_scratch:
