Dan Smith Strat without standard strat jack??

Hello, if memory serves me right, the Dan Smith strat did have a standard stratocaster jack... or am I coming down with a premature case of alzheimers?.... :tard:

Strange pic. I have an '82 smith strat and it has the standard strat jack.

Yeah.. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but the doubt is big on the legitmacy of that body for me... You think it might be a warmoth body that he might've confused with another one of his guitars?

I used to have an 83 hardtail Strat that had the jack in the pickguard.  I was told by several respectable gear gurus that they did it for exactly one year....83.
