D-Long Volume Hole in pickguard ?

Maybe I had overlooked it before, but I just saw that Warmoth offers a 'D-Long Volume Hole' option for pickguards.

Has anyone done that ? I'd need a Strat pickguard, 5 way switch in normal position, one volume in position 1, nothing in 2 and a mini toggle in position 3.

Does the 'D-Long' option move the control too close to the 5 way switch ? It's kinda hard to make out on the provided drawing by Warmoth. I'd be using a dome speed knob, so a bit smaller than a vintage knob...

Thanks !

Not to steal this thread, but what is that even? Haha ive never even heard of it before.
It's a routing option on pickguards to move control 1 further away from the bridge and bridge pu. Think Charvel / Ibanez rather than traditional Fender placement.

It's just that the graphic provided by W shows control 1 really close to the switch. Could only be the graphic and that's why I'm asking...

Scroll down to 'control routing options' :

I think he's calling it D-long because it was notably on the Tom DeLonge sig strat.  My ex has one of these, it's a fun guitar... one knob, a Duncan invader and a hardtail.

I dunno if warmoth does this but you could drill it yourself easily.

Interesting...

I would have never associated that guy with the reason why Warmoth call it that way..., but could be...

In case I was misunderstood. I'm not asking if anyone could build me one. Warmoth OFFER that option on their pickguard page and was simply wondering how far the control would be away from the 5 way switch.

If it's anything like in your picture then it would definitely collide with the switch...

Maybe anyone from Warmoth can shed some light onto this....

Oh FUNK yeah ive been waiting for this option for FOREVER! Anyway it does deffiately look like it would collide with the swtich, but maybe they move the switch too and just didnt show it in the picture. We'll wait for someone from warmoth to shed some light.

It's new locations and not just the deletion of the 3rd pot hole.
Where have you seen that ? In the picture on the W site they look to me like they are in the same spot...

Hmm?  I don't see it, but it was on the old site.  There was also a line on the old site, "....omit the ones you don't want."  Besides, just get the blade switch cut and drill your own holes.  I would be less fearful of that than any cutting into wood if uncomfortable with tools.  Those mistakes are $25, not $400.
