Custom paint on bad guitar

I had an old guitar laying around.  It was actually the first guitar I ever owned when I was in 8th grade.  Couldn't bring myself to get rid of it.  Thought I would do a custom paint job on it and replace all of the original electronics.  (This is a Lotus by the way).  Im pretty sure they actually made these for a while with a pressboard material.....ridiculous.  Anyways, I figured its a perfectly good body and neck so why not make a new guitar. Heres some photos of the project.

If you hope to impart a little cachet to the  Lotus marque, you're on the right track... that's a really fun paintjob you did.


I almost bought a Lotus back in '86 when I was shopping for my first electric, then flirted with an Arbor - my more experienced roommate talked me out of each of them, and I wound up with an Ibanez that (surprise) I wish I had never sold.


Anyway - nifty work!
