I heard the biggie problem for the conus oil fracking  is Saudi s and the Russians drilling too much .... Is it affecting the Alaskan drilling?

I checked out that link. You aren't kidding about "remote"! Must be tough to leave the little guy behind for 2 weeks at a time. Hope it all works out in your favor, stay safe!  :icon_thumright:

Yeah. The more favorable, the better. Be sure to take lots of sandwiches with you, too. Lessee..... two weeks worth of sandwiches... 3 meals a day x 14 = 42 assuming you only eat one at a time. More = more sandwiches. Plus spares. Well, there go your spare socks and shorts.

I can live a long time on PB&J and ramen noodles, tested and confirmed, haha!

When it was just Saudi flooding the market and driving the price down, it was a topic of conversation and speculation but not really concern in the short term. However the virus response has drastically reduced travel and commerce which has significantly reduced fuel demand which is also very bad for the price of oil. Double whammy. So we are "monitoring the situation closely" to borrow from the parlance of our times. For now my company is continuing to produce at full capacity and continuing to fund drilling and currently active projects. Other operators in Alaska have reduced their drilling operations for the time, so there is some impact there at this point. So short answer: a little bit...

Indeed, Northstar is "out there" and then some! There isn't a whole lot of info to be found about our little island, I suppose it is not a bad thing that the best article I could find comes from the regulatory agency. Being gone is difficult, but it provides us a living that allows my wife to stay home with the kids which is a huge blessing (especially in times like this!!), and then when I am home I have no work duties so I am free to catch up on two weeks worth of house chores dedicate all of my time to the youngsters  :laughing7:

The last sport running that I watch got postponed until at least the start of June, the AFL, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my life now. No AFL, no cricket, no Formula 1, no Rugby Union. That's the worst thing about the virus for me

Practice some scales and expensive jazz chords  :icon_thumright:

That's the plan, I really need to work on being a better musician and with heaps of spare time I should be able to. Maybe start writing a Folk Metal concept album.

That is a most excellent result.....

Speaking of Viruses... this could terrify you (or not), depending on your paranoia level. In any event, it's highly educational while still being entertaining.

Hey, they're not that expensive.  With as many of 'em as the jazzbo's throw around, I'd say they're cheap as dirt.  Probably building their own back in the woodshed.

The expense of jazz cords is the toll on the body. It has been said that jazz chords force the hands into positions that are normally only achieved during electrocution or the last stages of strychnine poisoning.

The age old difference between a jazz and a pop artist.

Jazz guy plays a million chords to three people every night.  The pop guy plays three chords to a million people every night.  :p

Back to the matter of the pandemic, here's something to help keep the microorganisms away.

This just in:  Our local grocery store has giveaways for people who spend more than average.  The giveaways are always stuff that they have over-stock on.

This week's giveaway?  Toilet Paper!  Two big bundles of it per person!  For free.  Hilarious.  :)

My wife joked that next month they will be giving away flour... the checkout person didn't get it ("We won't give that away - We have none on the shelves!")  :glasses10:

One big difference we see here is that most people drive like maniacs. Where the highways were overcrowded before slowing traffic to drag-along speeds, now everyone has a chance to go like hell so they do.  :tard:

The state of Missouri has filed suit against the country of China over their handling of the CoronaVirus Pandemic........... No REALLY they have.

. Uhh, Missouri, I'm afraid I have some bad news for you.......
